If you're in need of some inspiration, here are 10 of our top picks of female mountain bikers who are kicking it in the world today.

1. Casey brown @casey_brown_

Still primed to be the first ever woman to enter Red Bull rampage, NZ-born Casey Brown was crowned Queen of Crankworx 2014 and placed second in both 2015 and 2016. Her adrenaline- filled feats will keep you mesmerized and inspired!

2. Rachel Atherton @rachybox

Following an Achilles rupture in July 2019, much of the last year has been a long road to recovery for the multiple UCI World Cup Champion winner. She has well documented it on IG along with the development of her own Dyfi bike park in Wales, UK. Co-owner of Atherton Bikes with brothers Gee and Dan, her’s is a must-follow IG account.

3. Isabeau Courdrier @isabeau_C

2019 Enduro World Series Champion Isabeau learned to ride when she was three and had completed her first MTB race aged 5. Her IG feed takes you around the world with her as she aims to defend her title.

4. Rae Morrison @rae_morrison

Nelson local Rae is part of the 2020 Liv cycling enduro team. Her IG feed is a mix of bike love and gym work outs – inspo for us all!

5. Miranda Miller @ mirandamillermtb

2017 UCI DH world champ Miranda Miller brings her quirky sense of humour to her IG feed. Miranda made the switch from DH to enduro last year and placed just outside the top 10 in 2019. Hot to watch for the upcoming season…whenever that may be.

Originally from Peebles on the Scottish borders, Katy is now resident in our hometown of Christchurch, New Zealand. Rumour has it she wanted to build a career riding horses… until she discovered biking, that is. Good choice we say.

A true adventurer, seven times world champion Rebecca is an author, film star and philanthropist. Her NGO, the Be Good™ foundation, focuses on the removal of unexplored ordinance in Laos amongst other things. This is an IG account that has everything.

New Mum Sonya’s goal is to “inspire people to become the best version of themselves” which she does by posting about her bike adventures, plant-based lifestyle and by hosting her own podcast - The Sonya Looney Show. If you’re a Mum trying to juggle life and MTB, this is for you!

10. Tahnée Seagrave @tahneeseagrave

Fast and furious (and frequently injured) Tahnee’s IG is a good look into the life of a female pro MTB racer. One of the world’s fastest DH riders and winner of more races than you can shake a stick at, fresh back from injury, she’s one to watch for the upcoming season.
